Dear Friends-
For those of you who I haven’t spoken to yet, I want to please ask you to get out and vote for my friend and neighbor Tomas O’Grady for City Council, CD4. There has never been a more important time than now to get involved in the government of our City. Tomas has now been endorsed by the LA TIMES!
Tomas is running for City Council against the affable but life-long politician Tom LaBonge. It there was anyone that could pull this out, its him. He has a long track record dedicated to bringing fiscal sensibility back to government, and making our community healthier, safer, and most importantly, leading with the premise that a government should be serving the needs of its people, not special interests that have a chokehold on this city. He is a big advocate of clean energy and sustainability to top it all off.
Tomas believes that if ordinary people get involved in our government, extraordinary things can happen. He single handedly beautified King Middle School, put down his own money as collateral to start a green magnet there because LAUSD wouldn’t give a dime, created the annual East Side Eco Tour to give the community a chance to learn about sustainable features for homes, and has been a catalyst to get the Griffith Park Neighborhood Council back on track as a key elected member of the entire elected slate, Los Feliz Forward.
I invite you to see the amazing testimonials and info about his incredible community work, honesty, and determination at http://tomasogradyforcd4.com/wordpress/.
The email below also has upcoming events in which you can meet Tomas face to face.
More than anything, please vote for Tomas on March 8th. If you aren’t registered or need help doing so, let me know.
Regards,
Matt
